Use Cases
Does Heatbit make sense if electricity is expensive?
If electricity is expensive where you live, any electric heater will cost more to run — Heatbit included. Heatbit doesn’t change the price of electricity or the amount you need to heat your space.
What it does change is what you get from that electricity.
If you’re already using electric heating, Heatbit replaces a regular heater while also participating in Bitcoin mining. That means some of the cost you’re already paying for heat can be partially offset with Bitcoin rewards.
If you don’t need heating at all, or don’t use electricity for heat, Heatbit may not be the right fit.
Are Heatbits better for an apartment, a house, or an office?
Heatbits work well in apartments, houses, and offices, as long as they’re used as room-by-room appliances.
Maxi and Trio provide heating performance comparable to premium space heaters and are commonly used in bedrooms, living rooms, home offices, and workspaces. In houses, Heatbits are often used for zone heating — warming the rooms you use most rather than replacing central heating.
Canvas works differently. It provides direct, personal radiant warmth, making it ideal for desks, studios, and shared spaces where heating the entire room isn’t necessary.
Does Heatbit work with solar power?
Yes.
Heatbit works with any standard electrical supply, including homes with solar panels or hybrid solar-grid systems.
If your Heatbit runs on solar-generated electricity, it uses that energy in the same way it would grid power — producing heat and participating in Bitcoin mining. Many customers with solar view Heatbit as a way to put excess or low-cost electricity to productive use.
Is Heatbit useful in summer?
Yes – especially models with air purification. Maxi and Trio can run in purification-only mode, keeping air clean even when you don’t need heat.
Some customers also use Heatbit for mining during cooler nights even in warmer months.
Can Heatbit replace my existing heater or air purifier?
It can and it should, if you want more from your appliances.
Heatbit can replace a room-level heater, and models with HEPA filtration can also replace a standalone air purifier.
Instead of running two separate devices, Heatbit combines both functions in one appliance – with Bitcoin mining as an added benefit.
Can Heatbit be tax-deductible in the US?
If you purchase Heatbit for business use — for example, to heat an office, studio, or workspace — it may be eligible for deduction or depreciation, similar to other equipment or appliances.
Tax treatment depends on your specific situation, so we recommend consulting a qualified tax professional.
Can Heatbit be expensed or depreciated?
Possibly.
When used for business purposes, Heatbit may qualify as equipment or office infrastructure and could be expensed or depreciated according to standard accounting rules. Eligibility depends on how it’s used and your accounting method.
Is Heatbit suitable for renters?
Yes.
Heatbit is plug-and-play and requires no permanent installation or modifications to your space. It’s easy to move, relocate, or take with you when you move.
That makes Heatbit especially well-suited for renters who want flexible heating without committing to fixed infrastructure.
